Our First Trip to the Kirksville Missouri Farmer's Market

The kids and I attended the Kirksville Missouri Farmers Market today. It was a beautiful day for it! We had a table with cards and samples of dried Wine Cap mushrooms. I ran out of mushrooms and I am happy with the turnout. Market goers were intrigued and it was fun to describe our processes.

We had rain early this morning which made our trip an event to the market.  The market is approximately 40 minutes away but the MoDOT closed our normal route due to a bridge replacement.  Therefore, it took us closer to 50 minutes.

Next week I plan on having fresh oyster mushrooms. I found these that popped out today. What a beautiful delicate variety!
