Mud, Mud and More Mud....

OK so they say if life gives you lemons, make lemonade?  It took me a swim in the mud to push me to get busy on getting gutters up on the East side of the barn.  Last spring, we put gutters on the west side in order to refill the cistern located to the West of the barn.

Wednesday morning we were working on chores, like any given morning.  For some reason, I caught a soft spot in the mud. My boot got stuck and Martha the cow was not in the mood to wait for me to get my boot unstuck. She just tapped me with her head. Not in a mean way, she does this because she's excited to see us.  I went d - o-w-n.  I wish we have video of me falling the mud (other items other than mud included) but sadly, this is not the case. I only have a picture of my clothes and I'm sure you'll have a video in your minds! HEEE!

Therefore, we decided to work on the East side of the barn and put up some gutters.  We didn't have quite enough to finish it today, but we moved the water south and away from the side of the barn and the ingress/egress of the main door of the barn.  Hopefully, this will keep me out of the mud.

Lastly, Bentley the dog was quite upset with me for leaving him out of my last post on the animals of the family. He is a 9 year old Chocolate Lab and he's such a good dog. Keeping most varmints out of the yard.

I had to add another picture of Tiger as we were leaving for the day, looking at the sunset.
