Minerals? Why do we need them in our bodies?

Most farmers have already figured this out.  They give their animals minerals by the water trough to make sure they get what they need, yet fail to give it to their own families.   Our soils are so depleted of minerals that it is proven that we are not getting what we need. Some just take a multi-vitamin daily but unfortunately that is vastly unabsorbable and it is a waste of money.

We take Aqualyte and Ionyte by BASIC RESET.  Why? It is inexpensive yet very highly unabsorbable, takes chlorine and other harsh chemicals out of tap water and makes our water taste great, therefore we drink more of it!  We even put a packet in with our dog and cat's water bowls.

Below is a list of some of the minerals found in the body, including their associated benefits. Click on the mineral for more details, or click on the specific condition or disease for home remedies.
BoronThis mineral plays an essential part in Bone health, brain function, anti aging practices, sexual health, preventing cancer, treating Alzheimer’s disease, and reducing muscle pain.
Calcium: This vital mineral also boosts bone health (prevents osteoporosis), relieves arthritis, improves dental heath, and relieves insomniamenopause, premenstrual syndrome, and cramps. Furthermore, it is important in preventing or treating obesity, colon canceracidityheart diseases, and high blood pressure.
Chromium: This trace mineral is important for glucose uptake in the body, so is particularly relevant to those suffering from diabetes. It increases glucose uptake by the cells, which stimulates fatty acid and cholesterol synthesis, and although both of those things typically seem like negative components for health, they are actually essential in small levels for a functional, healthy life.
Magnesium is extremely important for your health because it is needed for more than 300 biochemical reactions in the body. Magnesium is fourth most prevalent mineral in the body and is partially responsible for countless aspects good, sound health. Roughly 50% of our body’s total magnesium is stored in our bones, while the remaining part of magnesium is predominantly found in the cells of body tissues and organs. Only 1% of magnesium is available in blood, although the human body is very good at regulating a constant level of magnesium in the blood.
Magnesium is needed to keep muscle and nerve functions normal and to keep the heart beating rhythmically. It also helps to support a healthy immune system, and keeps bones strong. Magnesium is important in terms of regulating blood sugar levels, thereby promoting normal blood pressure. Magnesium also supports energy metabolism and protein synthesis. Magnesium has a positive effect on the treatment of disorders such as cardiovascular disease, hypertension, and diabetes. Dietary magnesium is absorbed in the small intestines and is excreted through the kidneys.
Manganese: Manganese plays an important role in the management of body metabolism, osteoporosis, reducing fatigue, reproduction, sprains, inflammation, brain function, and epilepsy
Copper: This common mineral improves brain function, soothes arthritis, helps in skin care, eliminates throat infections, corrects hemoglobin deficiency, prevents heart diseases, and boosts immunity. It is commonly associated with the uptake of iron and the facilitation of a properly functioning circulatory system.
