KWIK STIX THIN REVIEW

Kwik Stix is a unique product and we were excited that they contacted me about doing a review of their latest product THIN STIX made by THE Pencil Grip, Inc.  They sent me the sticks free of charge with the understanding that I would give an honest review.

Stix are a tempera paint filled “pen” which keeps your paint in the art area and not splattered all over the place.

When we used the stixs before we loved their fun design and colors. The kids used the stixs to create wonderful paintings and enjoyed every minute of it. The 12-stick pack which are arranged in nice, colorful packaging. The solid paint sticks can be used without smocks, as they dry in 90 seconds leaving the finish bright as regular paint and brush paint.  The paint does not crack and can be used on poster paper, cardboard, wood, or canvas.

Hannah stated as she loves the stix and that her friends would love them. She had stated at the time, “I wish they had slimmer stix so I could add more detail.”  I had added that in my past review.  Low and behold they made this product and we were excited to try it in our homeschool and art classes.

Hannah used the new sticks at home and during an art class. She made much more detail in her creations. She loved using them. She is a pre-teen and enjoyed the thinner paint stick.  We love the vibrant colors they included.  We plan on sharing them with our homeschool group so others can use them and see how wonderful using them can be.

We would whole-heartily recommend KWIX STIX standard and KWIX STIX THIN.  They are perfect for any visual art program in homeschools, public schools, preschools, nursery schools or Sunday schools.

Lastly, this company has a beautiful website and their customer service department is very helpful and listen to your needs.

Kwix Stix 12pk by The Pencil Grip, Inc. ~ Review

Kwik Stixs 12pk are a new fabulous way to demonstrate your creativity.

We received a complete package of the Kwik Stixs to review by The Pencil Grip, Inc.  The 12 pack came with green, pink, white, red dark blue, royal blue, grey, black, purple, dark green, yellow, orange, and brown.  The solid, non-toxic tempera paint are easy and cleaner type of paint, which can be used on paper, poster board or anything on which we would use liquid tempera paints.  All one needs to do is uncap, twist and paint away.  Although some might be thinking this is perfect for younger ones and it is! Although we know even tweens can be messy, I appreciate there is no need for brushes to clean, palettes for the paints, easels or special paint paper. We don’t need water; we just enjoy the favorite part of painting- the creativity, and they dry in 90 seconds.   Each paint stick contains about 10 grams of solid tempera paint.

The only potential minimal drawbacks: the paints are made in China, and we must keep the cap on when not in use as they dry out quickly.

Not only did they send paint but they sent a sample of a pen with their logo and a pencil grip on it.  This was a fabulous bonus as it molds to fingers and keeps from making callouses on your fingers as I had as a kid.  They even have grips for the lefty’s in your family!

Kwik Stix are amazing! The colors are so bold and come out as strong as you hope. The paint is smooth. It has an easy grip and top, which is great for little hands. I love that we can paint on regular printer paper, and it dries so quickly that we can stack the pages as the children finish. No more hanging pieces of paper everywhere waiting for them to dry and hoping they don't drip. What a brilliant invention! Some may say they are similar to markers, but I believe it is a fun change for them from the traditional markers, crayons, and pencils but a lot easier to control and a lot less mess than paint. We can blend the colors by layering or with your fingers until they dry. The texture is similar to oil pastel until it dries.

I am very happy that they can paint without having the paint spill all over the kitchen table or floors.
Every household with children should try these paints! Adults will enjoy the creative time too!
