Our Family Travels: Minnesota Moments

As the weather changes from warm summers, crisp fall days to finally cold winter mornings, I think about my friends and family in the North Country Minnesota.
My husband's mother and brother both live near Hibbing Minnesota.  My best friend lives there and I start to miss them.  I haven't been there in many years during the winter but the husband and kids are anxious to try skiing, ice fishing and snowmobiling.

We spend our time after the county fair planning our trip to Minnesota.  Then we travel about 12 hours north to the North Start State. We keep a camper at Side Lake, MN 20 minutes north of Hibbing.

We spend most of our time visiting family and friends, fishing, camping, kayaking, hiking, swimming, berry picking, visiting museums, boat riding, campfires and riding horses.

We enjoy our time on Big Sturgeon, Side Lake and all of the interesting places, animals and plants to visit nearby. It never fails to amaze me how God's creation is so diverse and how unique it is from place to place, state to state, country to country.

My favorites spots are Ely, Hibbing's Hull Rust Mine View, Vince Shute Wildlife Sanctuary, and Duluth's Lake Superior and Lift Bridge and Park Point.
